Very well run tour. The guides were well informed and engaging. They looked after us very well all day. The food and wine at lunch was also excellent. The tour itself was interesting and just the right mix of activities. Thanks to all involved who made our day very special.
We had a wonderful and educational day learning the ins and outs of champaigne making and the region. Our guide Brice grew up in Reims and was very knowledgeable about the families that had vineyards and the different areas that grow different grapes. He was very generous with our many questions and requests to repeat the "new to us" vocabulary words. He arranged tastings at two very different small champaigne houses, the second aged their product in oak barrels for a very interesting and different flavor. Brice the drive us to our lunch where he gave u a brief history on the owner before leaving us to a scrumptious lunch. Our final champaigne stop was per my request at Veuve Clicquot. The tour there reinforced many of the things Brice had told us earlier, and while we were there, Brice thoughtfully gathered packing materials for us so we could get our purchased bottles home safely. Our final destination was the cathedral in Reims, Brice gave us a brief historical overview before we toured inside, after he helped us purchase another bottle of champagne to drink on our drive back to Paris and finish our fun, educational, and tasty day!
