Start the tour from 2 rue des Pyramides near the Louvre, where you’ll be given an audio-guide for the visit. Board the air-conditioned coach and begin the trip through the picturesque verdant countryside. After the scenic 1.5 hour ride, you arrive in Giverny. Take a couple of hours to tour the home of world renowned painter and artist Monet - the indisputable founding father of impressionism.
On this half-day excursion, you will see Monet’s blue sitting room, his reading room which opens into the pantry. Stroll further through the halls which lead you to the dining room, private apartments and one of the world’s largest Japanese print collections. Take in the charming atmosphere of Monet’s home where he spent 40 years with his family.
The visit carries on with a walk through the wonderfully colourful Monet garden lined with roses, nasturtiums, and multi-coloured flower beds, which became the main source of inspiration for his artistic prowess. During this walk, you learn about Monet’s life, works and careerwith the audio- guided commentary. Take in the vibrant flower-lined central path that finally opens up to the splendid water garden famous for its water lilies, weeping willows, and the illustrious Japanese bridge crossing the pond.
After spending some time in this natural artistic paradise, board your coach for a drive back to the starting point in Paris.
